The darkness of the night is going, GONE!
The silent, sleeping world is seeing morn;
Another day is ushered by God’s dawn;
The light of moon is dwarfed by sunlight born!
Sunrise heralds a day, when most can smile;
The birds are chirping joyfully in style;
The honey-bees are faster with the mile;
The fishermen get ready for the Nile!
A glorious day anew beckons all men;
Readied for school are almost all children;
Women are active in every kitchen;
For cock to crow these days, who can wait, then?
Tree-leaves are dressed up in their garments green;
Lake-waters glisten with their silver sheen;
A noisy world of wakefulness is seen;
A lazy few just slumber on – so mean!
The sunlight goads most earthlings to wake up;
Most scramble for a coffee or tea-cup!
Ready for play is every kitten, pup;
All hearts are beeping fast, ‘lubb-dup, lubb-dup!’
A day anew means work to gather food;
Some get up with a nasty headache, mood;
The hen is feeding her entire brood;
Some babes on earth have entered their childhood!
God made the day to work, and night to rest;
In sunlight bathed, the earth looks newly dressed;
The minds and hearts of men are much impressed;
What Nature offers is perhaps the best!
